BI Nutraceuticals Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement With Hongjiu Biotech
BI Named Sole Distributor of Hongjiu’s Panax Ginseng Extracts
in North America
LONG BEACH, CA, October 7, 2008—BI Nutraceuticals, the leading
supplier of quality raw materials and custom blends for more than 30
years, has partnered with Hongjiu Biotech to be the exclusive North
American distributor for the company’s line of panax ginseng
extracts. Additionally, as part of this agreement, BI has the right
to distribute all other Hongjiu ingredients to customers in North
America who are not already purchasing their products from another
source.

Prior to finalizing this agreement, BI Nutraceuticals conducted a thorough quality control audit of Hongjiu’s QA procedures, facilities and products, and found that the company met the stringent requirements of BI’s vendor qualification program. Hongjiu’s extraction facility is the largest and most advanced in the Northeast and is ISO22000, HACCP, GMP, GAP, Kosher and Halal certified. Moving forward, the companies plan to work with a third-party toxicology and regulatory panel to attain self-affirmed GRAS status for Hongjiu’s panax ginseng extract line.
