BI Nutraceutical Hosting Its First Functional Application Seminar

LONG BEACH, CA, February 15, 2012 — BI Nutraceuticals will be hosting its first Functional Application Seminar. Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and participate in a unique Functional Application Seminar that will take place on Thursday March 8, 2012 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm in the Salinas Room of the Hilton Anaheim, located right next to the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Functional Application Seminar, conveniently scheduled the day before Natural Products Expo West, will feature Alison Raban, BI’s Food Technologist. She will be showcasing a wonderful combination of food and beverage prototypes. Ms. Raban will also be sharing tips on how to enhance product functionality.

The functional food portion will feature the history, exciting applications and tasting of Chia and Quinoa. Chia seeds deliver the highest levels of total omega-3 fatty acids by weight of any common foods; a complete vegan source of protein; more fiber than common grains; no gluten or cholesterol; and a comprehensive range of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential amino acids.

Quinoa is available in whole seed or powder form for use in breads, pastas, and cereals.
