Marketing Director Randal Kreienbrink Also Discussing IFT's Certified Food Scientist Designation During Two Informative Sessions

LONG BEACH, CA, June 17, 2014 — BI will be sampling two functional beverages made from a selection of the company’s most popular ingredient offerings at the 2014 IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo being held June 21 – 24 in New Orleans, LA. Attendees can taste an Antioxidant Hurricane Lemonade featuring acai, green tea and pomegranate extracts, as well as beet root powder, and a Greens Mint Tea containing yerba mate extract and BI’s Greens Blend, which consists of alfalfa, barley grass, broccoli, spinach, spirulina and wheat grass powders at BI’s booth #4149.

Additionally, BI marketing director Randal Kreienbrink will participate in two sessions designed to inform attendees about IFT’s Certified Food Scientist (CFS) certification. The sessions will be held June 22 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the Food Expo Forum and on June 23 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. in room 386. Randal was a member of the inaugural class of CFS recipients. The CFS program launched in 2013 in response to industry demand for a certification that could help differentiate individuals and their applied knowledge in food science. Randal will also highlight why this certification was important to BI as a company and what it means in the bigger picture for the growth of responsible, ethical and safe food ingredients. BI currently has two Certified Food Scientists on staff - Randal Kreienbrink and Alison Raban.
