The Martin Bauer Group Releases its Global Impact Report on Sustainability

SECAUCUS, NEW JERSEY – The Martin Bauer Group, a global expert of premium botanical solutions for the tea, food and beverage, dietary supplement and animal nutrition industries, announced the release of its Sustainability Report; a summary of the organization’s extensive effort to preserve critical natural resources. With the recent acquisition of US-based BI Nutraceuticals, The Martin Bauer Group represents over 140 years of experience in the industry. The organization sources more than 200 botanicals from over 80 countries, through supply chains that employ more than 300,000 people. From its inception, The Martin Bauer Group has embraced its sustainability investment decisions for positive social and environmental change. The Sustainability Report exposes the organization’s sustainability strategy, and long-term goals, to allow its direct and indirect stakeholders an opportunity to follow suit in initiating effort towards global impact.

The Martin Group has already achieved several significant milestones in terms of sustainability:
  • 56% of the company’s major botanicals are purchased through certified supply chains
  • The company pioneered Mabagrown, a unique sustainable sourcing standard
  • Mabagrown was verified and recognized by the independent organizations UEBT and UTZ
  • The company announced its voluntary commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set forth by the SDG Compass
  • The company surveyed internal/external stakeholders to prioritize sustainability commitments
  • The company developed its Sustainability Report in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
