BI to Showcase Purple Tea Functional Popcorn and Apple Cider Vinegar and Beet Stickpacks at the Southern California Institute of Food Technologists Supplier’s Night Expo at Booth #1526

RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, CALIFORNIA – BI will be exhibiting at this year’s Southern California Institute of Food Technologists Section (SCiftS) Supplier’s Night Expo at booth #1526 at the Disneyland Hotel Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 3:30-8:00 PM. Attendees can taste a variety of functional popcorn flavors, including Sweet Purple Tea, as well as a Apple Cider Vinegar and Beet beverage made from a stickpack.

BI’s functional popcorn samples feature 55% Lentil Protein, which is grown and manufactured in the United States. The plant-based powder is hypoallergenic and an excellent vegan source of protein. The powder provides an additional 1 gram of protein and 1 gram of fiber making it eligible as a “Good Source of Fiber” front label claim. Other functional popcorn flavors sampled at this year’s SCiftS include Sweet Green Tea and Spicy Vegan Nacho.

BI’s Apple Cider Vinegar Powder (ACV) contains 4%-10% Acetic Acid and acts as a substitute for liquid ACV in beverages, dry mixes, seasoning blends, etc. ACV is one of the trendiest ingredients in beverage applications this year. BI will complement its ACV with beet lemonade to offer a pleasant and delicious taste format at SCiftS.
